Title of the workshop

International Workshop on Future Mobile Computing and Networking for Internet of Things (FMobile)

Objectives

The past few years have witnessed a burgeoning growth of the Internet of Things (IoT), and tremendous amounts of data are continuously generated from numerous IoT devices and applications globally. Nowadays, the development of 5G mobile networks has evolved into a major driving force for the advance of IoT. Meanwhile, the cutting-edge technologies are offering new opportunities and challenges in enabling future mobile computing and networking for IoT, through improving service reliability, enhancing energy efficiency, reducing network delay, managing mobility, upgrading Quality of Services (QoS), etc. These technologies are being proposed to facilitate future mobile computing and networking for IoT, thereby building an active and comprehensive research community around the topic.

The workshop aims to provide a forum for international researchers from both academia and industry to exchange ideas, and discuss their early research work and inspiring findings on the innovations on future mobile computing and networking for IoT. Also, this workshop will attract contributions of global scientists and engineers, and extend the state of the art of future mobile computing and networking, including algorithm design, systems and applications, that can optimize existing and future IoT applications and services. Furthermore, the workshop will motivate the experts to unlock the potentials of the IoT paradigm in future mobile computing and networking, through leveraging techniques such as cloud/fog/edge computing, network function virtualization (NFV), applied cryptography, blockchain, and machine learning (ML).

    Paper Submission

Main conference papers are limited to 8 pages (regular paper), or 4 pages for poster papers following the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Format, and are to be submitted as PDF via the site: https://fmobile2023.edas.info/. Paper not following the IEEE templates will be rejected without reviews. Papers will be selected based on their originality, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation assessed by at least three reviewers.

    Paper Publication

Accepted conference papers will be published by IEEE (IEEE-DL and El indexed). At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register and present their work at the conference. Otherwise, the paper will not be included in the proceedings. Selected papers, after further extensions and revisions, will be recommended to journals such as Electronics (special issue in Artificial Intelligence and Database Security, https://www.mdpi.com/journal/electronics/special_issues/4K92961I3N).
